From Argentina to Canadian screens.
Walter Alza came to Canada from Argentina as a teenager and began his professional acting career in 1991. Over the decades that followed, he built a body of work across drama, comedy, film and television, becoming known for his ability to transform across nationalities, accents and sharply different characters.
His screen work includes Get Rich or Die Tryin', directed by Jim Sheridan and starring 50 Cent and Terrence Howard; Flashpoint; At The Hotel; Due South; and Netflix's Special Correspondents with Ricky Gervais, Eric Bana, Kelly Macdonald and America Ferrera.
As a filmmaker, Walter has directed and produced award-winning work, including Clive Houston, We Have a Problem. His feature projects have been distributed across Canadian networks and platforms. In 2005, he founded Alza Acting Studio in Toronto to bring professional screen experience directly into actor training.

Walter Alza, actor, writer, director, producer and acting coach, founded Alza Acting Studio in 2005. The studio specializes in practical film and television acting training in downtown Toronto, supported by our coaching team and Walter's decades of professional screen experience.
